Events Committee
The Events Committee’s primary focus is the Chamber’s big annual event, the
Whole Hog BBQ & Music Festival - from booking the music to recruiting the vendors and BBQ teams to logistical issues to helping formulate the publicity.
Specific tasks undertaken by the Membership Committee include the following:
- Organizing and coordinating the Whole Hog BBQ & Music Festival
- Exploring and recommending new events and/or partnerships
- Encouraging and scheduling “Business After Hours” events
- Organizing and coordinating the annual meeting

Membership Committee
The primary responsibility of the Membership Committee is to recruit new members. The committee additionally works to involve and motivate members by providing and promoting all the benefits of membership, thereby showing the value of Chamber membership. It also has the responsibility of maintaining the By-Laws, updating and revising them to meet Chamber needs and goals.
Specific tasks undertaken by the Membership Committee include the following:
- Organizing the annual membership drive
- Recruiting, involving and motivating members
- Updating and/or revising the by-laws to meet Chamber needs & goals
- Increasing and promoting membership benefits
- Strengthening Chamber connections to state and local governments

Economic Development Committee
The Economic Development Committee serves as a liaison between the Chamber and the local businesses, non-profit organizations, and state and local officials in order to promote regional economic activity within the Chamber’s mission.
Specific tasks undertaken by the Economic Development Committee include the following:
- Maintaining connections with local and regional economic development groups, governmental units, and officials
- Working with RBTC or other groups (or on our own) to develop and provide education and training programs for businesses
- Working cooperatively with Merchants and Business Associations
- Promoting local Farmer’s Markets
- Developing and presenting possible Chamber viewpoints on area economic issues to the Board for further consideration

Workforce Development Committee
The Workforce Development Committee helps with the development of a more employable workforce in the entire Cohase region and promotes placement of this workforce with area businesses both in New Hampshire and Vermont.
