Starline Rhythm Boys (Aug 1)
6:30 PM-8:00 PM
Fairlee Town Common
Town Common Rd.
Formed in 1998 (now celebrating 19 years together!) by three professional musicians with a combined experience of over 100 years in various bands, The Starline Rhythm Boys are a full time, actively booked drummer-less “Tennessee Trio”, consisting of Danny Coane (“Little Danny C”) on acoustic rhythm guitar, “Big” Al Lemery on electric lead guitar and Billy (“Slappin’ Billy B”) Bratcher on acoustic upright “slap” bass, in the style of Elvis’, Cash’s and Perkins’ early bands. The Boys perform vintage country, honky-tonk and rockabilly music along with very tight and powerful country harmony duet vocals. Their repertoire consists of many superb originals, mainly written by Bratcher, as well as great covers of both classic and obscure numbers. The Starline Rhythm Boys are a unique original band with outstanding, real-deal sound, style, energy, stage presence and appearance. They have appeared at almost every type of venue, as well as on radio and TV. They are both a listening and highly danceable group and appeal to a very wide age range. The Starline Rhythm Boys have released seven critically acclaimed recordings and received several honors. You’ll want to catch their performance in Fairlee!
The Fairlee Community Music Series is an effort to bring people together on the town common in beautiful Fairlee, Vermont, for family-friendly entertainment. 2017 is our inaugural year.
All concerts are free of charge. Since concerts are outside on the town common, it is suggested that you bring a folding chair or a blanket to sit on, and of course having an umbrella available may be a good idea as well, though we do have a rain site available if necessary.
The series is affiliated with the Fairlee Recreation Council and sponsored by local businesses and individuals.
We hope you will join us on the town common for some great music!
